DBV 2-4-14

"When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked His disciples: “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” – Mark 2:16-17 (NIV)

Thoughts: Someone posted a good quote to day from the Dalai Lama -and although I'm not his biggest fan he did make a good point: The purpose of religion is for us as individuals to control our anger, attachment, jealousy and see how well we're following the path we're meant for -not to use religion as an excuse to criticize and control others.

Jesus said the same. Stop looking at other people as if they are sinking ships. It will distract you from your own voyage and you'll probably end up hitting an iceberg.
