The Cost of Peace

#1 Some people think peace can be obtained by everyone holding hands and singing songs.

#2 Some people think peace can  be obtained by killing those they hate and forcing everyone to adopt the same beliefs.

But the fact is peace is harder to obtain that both of those -which is why neither party has achieved them.

In order for you to stop violence/pain being inflicted by people onto other people you must first make the "inflictors" Acknowledge that pain, and then take accountability for it.

People in Group 2 would argue that you "eye for an eye" inflict pain on the inflictors and THEN they will understand why pain is bad. First off, this is hypocrisy. You cause more pain -which is the problem.

In order for you to "wash away" the current State of Being the inflictor is in, you have to bring them back to their original state of conscious, idyllic presence everyone is supposed to start out with: Grace. You have to forgive the person their wrongs, give them love, and make them WHOLE again. THEN they will see why pain is bad and acknowledge the pain they have caused.

Nobody who's happy, content, at peace in their souls goes out and starts killing people.

And answering violence with violence will only exacerbate the situation.

But in modern times we reach a new issue: HOW do you approach people with rocket launchers and knives and change their souls to not cause harm? Especially if they will kill you on site, on principle?

I don't think throwing bombs at them is the answer. How do a village of people hold a murderer accountable? The villagers stand together in numbers vaster than the one person and apprehend the murderer into custody. It has to be a number of people coming together in solidarity, strength, and peace (preferably with a great leader).

This is how issues like slavery, civil rights, and oppression have been alleviated from various countries throughout history. Like Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.

The bigger picture is to ensure this kind of widespread hatred doesn't begin in the first place. Like addressing anti-semitism in Germany BEFORE Hitler comes along to act upon that hatred.

The USA has to improve its relationship with the Middle East. Changing it's mal-treatment and prejudices towards Muslims within the United States can be its first start.
