DBV 1-8-14

"Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust." – Acts 14:23 (NIV)

Thoughts: And thus Catholicism was born. What initially started as Discipleship became a rote, ritualistic practice often devoid of any true, spiritual meaning. A Pope in Rome was elected by a bunch of old, white guys and the chips fell where they might. Every once in a while people got lucky and good Pope was picked by fate -like our current Pope Francis. Other times, not so much.
