Oh Society...

Well there are some things to complain about today. :(

Just saw Robin Thicke's music video for "Blurred Lines". The VEVO site on Youtube warned me the content was "R" rated and inappropriate for some audience members. Being the age I am and seeing the things I have in most music videos (like Miley Cyrus twerking in her last one) I thought -ok between Britney Spears and Lady Gaga I expect this to be a "barely-there-bearing-almost-all" kind of video.

2 seconds into video: Holy crap was that a full on breast I just saw?
10 seconds later... Holy sh*t.

Full on breasted women dancing around. Are you serious???!!!

A song buy a guy singing about seducing a chick into going all the way. "You know you wanna..."

Wait a minute... are the lyrics saying what I think they are?

Ok now he was close, tried to domesticate you
But your an animal, baby it's in your nature
You don't need no papers, That man is not your maker

Basically a guy tried to settle down with a girl, but she's not into monogamy so the guy who's singing is encouraging her to hook up with him. Also saying that she doesn't need marriage (you don't need those papers) and that she is not "devout" or from God (not your maker). Or he could also be insinuating that the man who wanted to marry her was not her maker/God/designer and her true nature, that was determined by God, is to sleep around with multiple guys. Either way it's pretty f*cked up.

Wow. So this is where we're at now. Ok...

2 Days ago I was talking to my sister. Our friend Stephy has spent the past 3 years on a relationship with a guy named Ken. Before he met Stephy, Ken had a daughter with another girl. The woman later turned out to be kind of crazy. Now and days, Ken goes between Stephy and his ex and has repeatedly cheated on Stephy.

Once, when Stephy though Ken had officially left her for his ex, she created a dating profile online but never acted on it. Ken found out about this old, neglected profile this past week. His response: "I'm going to sleep with a hooker to get even with you for almost deciding to find someone on a dating profile".

So this is where we are now. Ok...

An unconfirmed rumor is currently being spread on Twitter that 42 "LarryShippers" have committed suicide. Larry Shippers = One Direction (a boy band) fans that want fantasize about 2 of the members of the boy band being a couple.

Apparently a documentary aired in Britain negatively portraying the One Direction fandom and 42 fans who saw this portrayal of themselves decided to commit suicide. This is still currently just a rumor.

What is this world doing? It's like it's so bored with itself that it's throwing up just for amusement. Meanwhile children are being sold into slavery and violence is continuing to break out in Egypt.

I have to remind myself that these times are meant to get absurdly horrific. It's only when you can't tolerate and comply with your surroundings that you're willing to get up and change them for the better. So onward it must go until every last person decides they cannot continue to let it go on this way anymore. When God is asked for He will step in. Until people realize how badly He is needed they will not turn to Him for help.

So this is where we are now.
