Cheating and Avoiding Commitment in Hollywood

Ouch. That's all I can say. Ouch.

Normally you hear about celebrity break ups on E! "News" and Aol.com. But it's a different situation when you read the twitter posts of two well known singers and the fall out of their relationship. On the one hand, it's hard to pitty them given the fct that they starte their relationship when one of them was in a long-term relationship with someone else, but hearing someone write about their hurt -especially in song- really makes it hard not to sympathize.

One song, by the man who left, was written at the peak of their relationship. It is now his new #1 hit for his upcoming album. It's a song about never giving up, giving space to your significant other when needed but always being there. One of her songs is about allowing her significant other to say anything because she will always be there to listen.

The after burn of a separation is magnified when the relationship also ended the engagement. Even worse when both have the same circle of friends. en times more awful when they posted their engagement in Us Weekly and the few fans there who haven't been keeping up keep asking when the wedding is. But the worst is having to go on any social network or turn on the radio and hear the person you thought was going to be the last person you would ever love, singing a song about undying love, after he left because he changed his mind and decided the relationship wasn't right.

Celebrities have even more to loose if a relationship fails. Especially since they will hear and see that person again -almost guaranteed. And everyone will know bout your faultering -almost guaranteed. And yet they treat love frivolously. Like Kim Kardashian dating a new guy for 3 months then breaking up, which occurred about 2 months after her "marriage" ended. Hollywood ad people in general should take the advice that was handed down to man in his infinite lack of wisdom from Above.

  1. It's all about the $$$$. Who cares if Mraz doesn't live as the song suggests...as long as it gets his tons of female fans to buy the album, that's what matters. Prettyman's pain and reality is secondary to the almighty being called BLING

  2. That's stupid. They're hippies. And Mraz has established his own foundation, gone to farm aid, and helped with raising wareness about various charities including Free the Slaves. Normally money is included, but Mraz prides himself on "being green" and giving back tothe community. He's a Cali hippie surfer. And Prettyman spends money on clothes and wine -but not much else in terms of jewleries and mansions. She's not that rich. So they're definitely not all aboutt he money as is usually stereotyped with many people in the limelight. They have different vices than money.

It's true that Mraz serenades 80% to females, but that just makes him an overly flirtatious romancing charmer. He's a Cancer so it fits...

  3. I would like to formally contract the word "stupid" from the above passage. I was initially shocked by what I thought to be an absurd view, and did not repond to it as respectfully as I should have. I appologize. No disrespect was intended.

I like Sherlock Holmes way of talking and reasoning. It's respectful, reflective, open-minded and poinnient.

  4. Alright, well let's say fame. Recognition. Respect. The knowledge of being successful as a good singer. The continuation of his girl fanclub.

These reasons are far more important than whether or not he actually lives the words of his song.

(moreover, tons of delusional girls were extremely pleased at his breakup, you know

heck...perhaps being engaged wouldn't suit the image he was trying to create of himself

but that's just me, always playing the devil's advocate...which is quite ironic if you think about it)

  5. Yes there were a bunch of delusional girls saying yay, but there were also a lot of people who still say they hope they get back together. I don't think him being married would effect his girl fan club. a lot of those women are married themselves with kids and they just like to think of him as eye candy. His music wouls still sell tons.
