Morning Thoughts 1

How the heck are you supposed to grow a soul when you’re too busy worrying about paperwork from 9-5, T.V. from 6-9, and sleep from any point on after that? The weekends? Isn’t that the time for you usually dedicate to sleeping in, relaxing, and having fun? Not exactly a sit-down session with the self to enhance the soul.
I think the reason people haven’t set time out for soul growth is because not enough souls that are more highly developed are (1) Encouraging others to grow souls, (2) Numerous in number, (3) Able to organize a way for themselves and others to come together to soul-improve, (4) The social system in place now isn’t geared towards it.
I’m pretty sure that if people were more focused on perfecting themselves and uplifting their souls, there’d be a lot fewer issues in the world today. Independent thought and self-discovery need to be popularized more. Right now we are constantly told what to believe and what to value in a generic way that prevents people from finding out what they truly seek. When they can’t achieve what they seek because they don’t know what it is, their lives hold less meaning to them.
The best structures we have right now are churches, synagogues, mosques… On the plus side they do encourage people to become better and focus on the well-being of the soul. Unfortunately they also adhere to the codes and laws founded in their religion –which tells people how to behave and what to believe. But the main issue is that in church you are focused on your surroundings and the people speaking –not yourself and your soul.

  1. I'm very busy but I purposely take time off and have a chill today (like today). Your time of rest is just as important as your time of work.
