Re: Good News... Bad News

Oh My Goonies people!!!

When I was at the doctor's office there were these paintings that were awesome and the artist's name was John Kircap or something and I tried to find him online, but I couldn't. So like a genius I decided to look up my doctor's name/ office and maybe find some reviews mentioning the artwork by anyone who thought it was pretty awesome as well. But I found out some not so happy things/ reviews from other patients...And after what happened to me today with the whole lymph node issue, I am thoroughly creepered out.

Out of 20 reviews, 10 gave him 4-5 stars (5 being the best). The rest gave him 1-2 stars (1 being the worst). The 4-5 stars in general said he was a good general doctor and things went smoothly during the consultation.
Most people complained about the office staff which they said were rude, slow, and uncaring.
Some other people on the other hand said some distrubingly disturbing things that give me the creeps now:

Review: My parents were patients of his for years.  My mother has told me stories about how creepy this guy is, especially during breast exams. She also saw him slapping a nurse on the butt one time, and noted the nervous and uncomfortable expression on her face.

Thank goodness for Yelp; we've now found a new doctor who is wonderful.  It doesn't matter how good a doctor is (he's not exceptional in any way), it's not worth going to see them if they give you the heebie jeebies.

Review:
I have never actually had an appointment with Dr. ***. See the thing is, I am a patient of Dr. ###, who is an amazing doctor and person, who shares the suite with Dr. ***. One day, my mom and I went to see Dr. ### and when we were waiting in the waiting room, Dr. *** came out (to either call a patient in or escort one out, I really can't remember). When he came out, I looked over at him and we made eye contact. The next few moments proceeded to be some of the most uncomfortable ones of my life. I'll never forget it, the way he looked at me, it was bizarre and caught me so off guard. It was really only seconds, but I felt totally gross and grossed-out. As he was walking back and shutting the door behind him, I noticed another patient in the waiting room look over at me, having noticed his strange looks. When he was gone, I leaned over to my mom and whispered, "That was creepy." Her reply was, "I know, I DO. NOT. LIKE. THAT. MAN." Obviously this sparked my interest, so I asked her, "Why, what do you mean? Have you ever seen him?" She very briefly and quietly told me that when she was pregnant with me, she went to see him for prenatal stuff. She said that during their appointment and exam, she was extremely uncomfortable and disturbed by the way he conducted himself. That was all she said. And this is coming from my mom who is extremely comfortable with her body and with herself. And we share pretty much everything, yet she did not want to talk about what had happened.

I do not want to "ruin" anything or anyone by posting this. And I have seen plenty of women/other patients come and go from his office appearing happy and content with their appointments. But, my mother was not one of them. And as for me, my skin craws when I think about how he looked at me that day. And I'm pretty sure I was between the ages of 17-19 at the time.... I think I'm gonna go take a shower now. Yuck.

Review: this guy is creepy.  women beware.

So now I'm kind of creeped out, but luckily I don't see that doctor unless I have a limb falling off or a realllly bad sun burn on my foot.
