The Power of Healing

Can somebody be psychically or spiritually healed by another person? Good question. It seems like there are some who refuse medical treatment in place of solely spiritual healing. Others believe faith healing to be a crock. The question I ask myself is Why do people usually feel the need to polarize themselves when it comes to topics like these?
Herbal/chemical/medical treatments have been proven to work. They can be shown, and let’s be honest, most people wouldn’t be spending as much money on hospital visits if they didn’t have any founding. So the question mostly is: Does Spiritual Healing work? One form of spiritual healing I recently found out about is called reiki. It’s sort of a way of passing positive, healing energy into a person by passing your arms over them and concentrating. I believe humming may be involved. It sounds hokey/hippie, but is it possible that it works?
Here’s what I think: 1. There are some people who are “gifted” with psychic abilities that can include psychic healing. Unfortunately these people are few in number and I’m not sure the extent of their strengths. Some people are more psychic than others. 2. Spiritual healing can be seen as a form of placebo treatment. If the person healing and the person being healed truly believe it works, it is possible that it can have some positive effects. Mind over Matter. 3. We are physical and spiritual beings. If someone as enough spiritual strength they may be able to overcome physical limitations and achieve things others consider to be impossible- like a mother temporarily having the strength to lift a car their child is trapped under.
When we limit our spectrum of possibilities we fail to see things that are capable of being shown. It’s like not believing in the color orange and excluding yourself from seeing that side of the rainbow and any other object that has that color. Dew people in this day and age act towards building their intuitive senses and spiritual nature. It’s easier to see things that are concrete and easily explained than trying to understand something that isn’t tangible and depends more on faith.
